First time I've drawn with pen for years, I wanted to see if ink really IS better. And it is... I just don't have the good kind XD

Well... It's just how I pictured it. Also, the body was a little inspired by the concept sketches by the WETA artists.

That's really awesome! The face is really creepy, but that's why I love it. The detail is great, the showing of the tight muscles, the wings...and is that a little spider web I see in the corner? :)

Haha, YES! Well sort of.... there's actually a spider web stuck in the wing for good measure. :D

Ha, I saw the original just today! I like it better then the movie version, it's closer to a bird then a drake, like described in the book. However, the stuff on the closer wing is a bit distracting to the eye and confuses the over all appearance. Still good, though. Can I hi-jack your scanner sometime?
