What I want to say is, is it wrong to have a collection? The only reason why my gallions are up on the trading post is because my shop has been converted to a gallery and there's not enough space... So when was it wrong to have a collection and have people telling you off saying you have too much of an item?

It's not wrong to have a collection of the same thing. I have over 100 Zero pictures.

I think that they were just attempting (a pretty bad attempt, I must say) to make you feel guilty and get you to give your Gallions up (or even to them). And it is not wrong to have a collection. Besides, you saved up for the petpets so they're yours whether that user likes it or not. Who are they to tell you what you can and cannot do with your Gallions?

She's just whining because you have them and she doesn't. Plenty of other people collect rare items. And I think her blocking you for simply defending yourself is especially immature.

I actually tend to agree with her. It always eats me up when someone has a Faerie Paintbrush collection (like 15 faerie pbs) and then gets themselves frozen. That's like 15 pbs someone could've painted their pet with.

I'm sorry. I agree with the girl, but i also agree it's completely worthless to argue with people on neopets.

I think what makes it wrong is if someone hoards things just to have control over the majority of an item.

hehe..too bad, money talks. it applies in neopets as well. i have nothing against players who like to collect a particular item. what i am less impressed with are players who ask for voluntary donations to their "collection".

I guess it depends on how many of an item one has. If you have say 100 of a useless item people wont complain, but if it's so much as 5 of an item rarity 90 and above people will send angry emails and maybe, like this girl, try to guilt trip you into giving them one. It does, however, irk me when someone hoards a lot of a really rare item for what appears to be no particular reason, things like this often cause inflation.

Basically, I have no intention of selling them, only collecting them...
I undestand people sometimes gets angry with others for hoarding items, but does that really warrant such mails? It's not as if Gallions are retired, so there's always more coming out. So I really don't understand why people get into such a fuss... Besides, I'm not the only person collecting gallions, or any items for that matter...

I think she was irked because she wanted a gallion. Obviosly, she wanted one or she wouldn't have found you in the shop wiz. If you had enough np to buy them, you have every right to do whatever you wish. Do you have any idea how many people have stuff like that in their SDB? I can name many friends who have rare petpets, paintbrushes, stamps, books, gourmet food, etc. in their SDB just incase of a rainy day. You never know when things will rise in price or come in handy. You just chose to keep them where you did. It's all good. Don't let her worry you. Good job on collecting them, btw.

The only thing I see wrong with your collection of Gallions is that youre storing them in the TP... Isnt there a TP rule or something that says you cant use it as display and storage?

And its not fair you have that many Gallions I want one! LOL. Other than that though you spent YOUR NP on them. Have at. Buy me a Draik egg. (Just kidding!! )

Look, did you earn the np fair and square? Did you work hard for it? Then you do whatever you want with it. Yeah, it sucks if someone's got 50 faerie p/b's and then gets frozen. But they probably got frozen because they cheated ot get the p/b's in the first place (not all of the time, I'm sure). The galleon's aren't retired. If she, or anyone else, wants one, they can earn the np and hunt them down just like you did.

it doesnt bother me when people hoard rare items. as long as they're not retired items.
as long as they're still being stocked, no one can have ALL of them.
