What with all the complications and everything the forum has, have you ever considered to relocate to another forum hoster? Proboards is a very good one, with little down time and errors. My home is situated on Proboards. (My home is what I call the forum I frequent the most because I love it there so much).

Now I'm not ordering anyone to do this, basically, I was just wondering if the thought had ever crossed anyone's minds.

phpBB is absolutely perfect. You cannot find a feature on here that we need and cannot use. The recent downtime was not due to the forum, but due to the server we were on, and so it would've been just as down even if we were using probards or IPB as it was just now. phpBB is fuctionable, customisable.

Also, if we were to transfer to a different forum, I think that we would have a problem regarding the database, as we wouldn't be able to transfer the posts and users onto another forum. The forum has already suffered mutliple downtimes, and one server reset so I think that the board is already backwards enough without having to reset again.

Finally, PPT has a long history of phpBB. Ever since I've know it, it has always used phpBB, though I can't quite remember whether YaBB was a forum or a hosting service... Still, for the last 2 years, atleast, members have used, gotten used to and familiarised themselves with the finctionaiblity and use of phpBB, and it may take them a while to readjust to another board.

PHPBB is great... PHPBB 2 will be greater ~_^

PPT use to be on YaBB... which is another forum system (Yet Another Bulletin Board). You should've heard the screams when PPT switched over to PhpBB lol.

Yes, I am from the NTWF.

It's not that I don't love the people and posts at the NTWF- just this type of board looks and feels better than the others. That's all.

Actually, it's phpBB 2.2 :P

EDIT: Oops, my mistake. Forgot they renamed/upgraded the new version to phpBB 3. :oops:

The two forum softwares I like are Invision and phpBB. Although, I like how phpBB is gonna include an ACP and UCP, just like IPB currently does.
