Hello all of you people, I have a question. Is there a specific reason why flash support was removed from the forum? I know that on the old forums, there was flash support, but on these new forums, there is not. I was thinking about just grinning and bearing it, but someone suggested I should bring it up, and maybe one of the important people would do something about it.

I'm no computer expert, but can't flash be used to show pop-ups, create loopholes through security and slow down everyone's computers?

I mean, it'd be cool if we had it, but can't it be really easily abused?

Well, I think flash could be used for pop-ups, although I'm not quite sure how. If someone was smart enough to make security loopholes in flash, they'd probably be smart enough to do it without flash anyways. Trust me, flash can be pretty complicated. And flash won't necessarily slow down everyone's computers, it all just depends on the file size and what the person did with the flash file. I know that one really interesting flash file I have is only 8.39% of the size of Twisted Sanity's signature. Even this one file I have which is about as graphics intense as Twisted Sanity's sig, is only 38.9 KB.

Flash wasn't a problem back in the days of the old forum. It was a unique little feature that some used- not very commonly though. I'd like to have it back, personally. (I did make sets in Flash at one point, but that's something else :P)

Tim made a flash set for me when I first started at PPT, but it wouldn't work on the forums. :( I think this would be a neat idea and open up more creativity options for the graphicians. :)

Yeah, he did make some good sigs in flash, one being for me :D . It was very nice.

Yeah, he did make some good sigs in flash, one being for me :D . It was very nice.


I liked the PPT logos and footer-banners that Yoshi did.

Yes, I know that very well. I remember the problem. But I still liked them nevertheless.
