Just realised that Ive been listening to the same 3 albums for about a week now, and thought this a subject of note ( well, I noted it afterall ).

O / Damien Rice
White Ladder / David Gray
Back to Bedlam / James Blunt

All 3 are Indie-ish, and excellent albums. Cant find a single duff track on any of them, and the formula of said tracks and their ordering is sublime ( although Blunt's is a bit off once or twice in this regard, but eh ). They just seem to have the right sort of balance.

If I had to pick a signature track from each it would be:

O / 03 - The blowers daughter
White Ladder / 08 -This Years Love
Back to Bedlam / ...

..tough one. Ive narrowed it down to 2: 04 - Goodbye My Lover, or 10 - No Bravery. The former is a poignant ode to ( suprise suprise ) a recently former lover, while the latter is Blunt's expression of the time he spent in Kosovo while serving in the British Army ( which eh did until not too long ago, actually. He was part of the small group that guarded the Queen Mum's coffin at her funeral ).

I blame my indecision on the fact that this is the most recent aquisition of the three albums, and I still havent had time to fully digest all of the tracks.

Oh yeah, and all 3 are heartily recommended.

So what are your current top three? And do you have favourite tracks?

I love you!

My top three are:

Back to Bedlam / James Blunt. (Total chillout album!)
Stars of CCTV / Hard Fi. (Bit of everything.)
The Best Of R.E.M. / R.E.M. (Timeless classic.)

My favourite tracks are:

Back to Bedlam / Goodbye My Lover. (So beautiful.)

Stars of CCTV / Move On Now. (Possibly one of the best ballads from an indie band for a long, long time. I hope they release it.)

The Best Of R.E.M. / At My Most Beautiful. (Gorgeous, again.)

I've been in a really dreamy chilled mood lately and I guess the music I've been listening to reflects that. <3

Is that the one with "Since you've been Gone"? Im not a big fan of her music, but I have caught my foot tapping and my head bobbing to that one on the radio.

Yes, it is.

But I wasn't a fan of her either until her new album was released and I heard "Since U Been Gone" and "Behind These Hazel Eyes". She has some pretty cool songs, "Gone" is another song that's really fun to listen to.

All my CDs are burned, but...yeah.

1. .hack// and some misc. anime stuff. I put this on before I go to sleep, because it's all pretty easy listening stuff.

2. A 'Best of' Megumi Hayashibara and Paku Romi CD. Self explanitory :P

3. My Shaman King soundtrack. There's just such an incredible range of moods, I always have it in my CD player at school to fit how I'm feeling at the moment.

Favorite Tracks:

.hack// - Tasogare no Umi or BoA - Rain

Paku Romi - Get Real

Shaman King - Oh, I dunno....Sono Saki no Justice, Muge, With Determined Passion....It's all good^^

Seeing as you'd all probably be disinterested in me saying all three Coldplay albums, cause those are my most recently acquired ones that I'm spending a lot of time listening to...I'll just mention three albums I think I want to get sometime. *shrug* Heh. :P

In Between Dreams - Jack Johnson
Funeral - Arcade Fire
(self-titled) - Daniel Powter

Noir Soundtrack vol 1
.hack//SIGN Soundtrack vol 1
Azumanga Daioh vol 1

Favorite tracks:

Fake Wings - .hack//SIGN (although I wake up to Foreigners every morning)
Raspberry Heaven - Azumanga Daioh vol 1 (makes me cry for some reason...so pretty)

Noir is a tie between Canta Per Me and Salva Nos. I'm going to blow out my rather pathetic car speakers one of these days with as loud as I crank those two songs everytime they're on. Plus, I tend to just hit repeat and listen to them over and over again. Canta Per Me is beautiful and Salva Nos really gets the adrenaline pumping. Both are great background music when RPing a fight scene, that's for sure.

So it seems to me that the 3 CDs I've listened to most recently are...

1. Blink-182 - Dude Ranch
2. Rent - Original Broadway Cast Recording
3. Bowling For Soup - Drunk Enough To Dance

Don't know why, but those are what I've had in the CD player the most recently.

And just because other people did it, favorite songs off the albums...

1. Untitled
2. What You Own
3. Girl All The Bad Guys Want

strange, i was just noticing that i've been listening to the same three albums, too. glad i'm not the only one.

anyway, i've been all up on:
Hail to the Thief - radiohead
Prolonging the Magic - cake
Guero - beck

"guitar" by cake is one of my favorite songs, and i could listen to beck's "go it alone" all day long.

I've always wondered who sang that song...

Current top 3 albums for me are:

Bright Eyes - I'm Wide Awake it's Morning
HIM - Razorblade Romance
Travis - Singles

I've been going crazy lately... I haven't gotten any new music in months, and I have gotten so bored with everything on my playlist... Well so those are the most recent 3 albums I've been hooked on.

As for the tracks:

Bright Eyes - First Day of My Life
HIM - Ressurection
Travis - The Beautiful Occupation
