After I use it once in battle, it vanishes for the rest of the match.
Is this supposed to be happening?

Then it's usefullness has dropped a lot.....so much for using that to bail myself out of a tough spot.

Oh well, at least it's still a good ability to have.

Frankie's right. Regaurdless of using it only once per battle, it came in handy during the war. It tore a huge chunk of HP out of the petpets for me. I'll never be able to let go of Drain life. It just comes in handy way too often.

it is still a good ability, and they may have degraded it and made you less powerful, but think about it... you wouldnt want everybody to have powerful abilities and weapons.... then the match would be dumb, and itd be like "honey potion - scorchstone - sword of skardeten" and the match would be over. pssh.... er, what im saying is, there would be huge attacks, and the majority of pets out there ARENT real strong, so the battles would be over quick.

I like degrades *well, sometimes.*

it's not that useful in 2 player since it can only absorb like 5 hp mostly. you can use it against the last war boss and it's quite handy
