I was thinking of changing my username. But what I was going to change it to, I figured I would have to check with you guys.

Are degree marks (°) allowed in usernames?

They always used to be before the server crashed. After that, anyone who had those characters in their name was locked out of their account.

However, I really can't say either way for sure, but I know at one stage they weren't...

It would be prefable for your sake not to do it, non-standard letters have caused problems in which logging in becomes impossible in the past.

It was actually a good year to half a year before the crash that it rejected usernames that contained anything other than the standard alphabet characters and numbers (this included characters that were accented.)

Either way it likely not a good idea to do that.
