OMSL...I made a post about ten years ago on my LJ about this kind of thing.

I wrote:

The song that fits right in with my life right now is "Graduation", because I can't stop thinking about Rachel and Charlotte, my friends from camp.

Also, here's a list of songs that have applied to my life at various points in the past. Some of them only partly apply, or else it's just the basic concept.

"There's Gotta Be More to Life" (various depression phases)
"The Tide is High" (ancient obsession with a guy)
"It's About Time" (ditto)
"The Reason" (a really good friend)
"My Happy Ending" (a crush who turned out to be a jerk)
"Vacation" (ditto, but this one was the opposite of how I felt)
"Mamma Mia" (various fake friends)
"I Will Survive" (same guy as "vacation")
