I saw this on aol, a woman's sister found something strange on the beach and sent it to her, it turns out that it may be Ambergris asubstance created in the intestines of Sperm Whales, that is used in some perfumes, it is also a very rare substance that is worth a lot of money.

If you know what ambergris is from Roseanne's World of Facts, you're a Futurama fan.

I never realized that the stuff was so ugly, though. Still, for that much cash, I would like to find some of that hideous puke. =P

Seriously though, I don't see how that ugly thing could smell good. Really weird.

Anyways, since selling it is illegal in the US, I wonder if she'll go somewhere where it's not illegal and sell it (if that's possible).

OK, excuse me for sounding some dumb, but why is it prohibited for trade in the US? It is vomit. Something that really can't be controlled. Whales don't have fingers so they can't very well stick their fingers down their throats. And can't really stick a gun to a whale's head and say "Vomit or else." I guess you could feed a whale a bad piece of whatever they eat and wait around for them to toss their cookies, but can anyone plan it out that well? And actually make a profit from doing so? Just shaking my head that this law is all.

Step One. Kill whale.

Step Two. Take Ambergris.

Step Three. Process it.

It would eliminate the need to find it.
