Well with this point of reference, probably not a solid argument. Fabric and fabric production has changed so much over the past century that it's most likely easier to stay warm now then it was back then by using less layers. Not to mention that some people are willing to substitute taste for trends.

(note: this does not mean all people, but really not everyone in this world should wear a thong, it's not always flattering)

I have to admit I'm a follower of both- my theory is that the FSM is married to IPU. :D

Because I was going to say one was more awesomer than the other, but then I realized that you can't really compare them- god made of spaghetti, or a unicorn. :/

Oh, like the Roman gods marrying. I heard a hilarious parody of the FSM and IPU, stating that atheists worship the goddess Athe, who is so mighty that she kills people who attend services in atheist churches. Also one of the "You can't prove I don't exist nyeh nyeh nyeh" types.
