I've been trying restocking on-and-off for a little while now, but I'm still not sure as to what items would sell well.

Codestones do not sell in main shops, nor do dubloons. So I know they are out of the question... And Faeries are sniped from under my nose.

What other items, which aren't quite so 'OMG ME WANT'-like, could I make a profit from?

Trial and error mostly, what sells well for me might not sell well for you. Books are easy to get started in and you can make money on all books, except buying from the brightvale book shop.

That's not exactly true. ;)

Perhaps 'on average' is the best word to use, then?

I know that there are certain books that cost 500NP in the shops, but sell for 5000NP on the wizard, et cetera... So the 'hot items' are pretty much the same for everyone.

True there are books that you can buy for 500 and sell for 5,000, but those are few and far between. Most of my sales come from buying at 500 and selling at 999.

So that means It'd be my best bet to:

a) Find what sells good.
b) Sell it in mass quantities, and up the price a little, right?

So if I bought 500 of the same book, instead of selling it for 999, I could sell it for 1200, as the quantity of the book would make users more attracted to it?
I don't know. I really am hopeless when it comes to this. I just need to find a way to double my cash-- I have almost 1 million, and I'm trying to get 2 million. heh.

I have a 390 space shop and never stock more than 5 of anything. I try to offer a variety. As far as a selling price, you will have to research what the current selling price is. If everybody else is selling for 999, I doubt you would get many sales at 1200.

I've have a look.

Any idea of any "price list" websites? There has to be one about somewhere.

EDIT: Alright, failing that, may I be given some examples of items that sell for more in user shops, than in main shops? I would check up on prices myself, but everytime I check, the shops are empty... Spare from a few cheap items, which sell for less on the wizard.

Any ideas?

MayEdit: Please do not double post. If you were the last to post and you have something additional to say, please use the handy Image button in the upper right corner of your post. :)

Probably either the Magic Shop, Pizza Shop, or Medical Shop... I heard you can make pretty decent profit out of those lot.

I should be better faster internet soon (16MB instead of 2MB), so that should help a bit.

If you got around half an hour or an hour to spare, check out the PPT Podcast Financial Edition. John gives some great tips on restocking and how to make lots of neopoints.

The medicine shop is easy, Medicinal Soap and shaky flaky cream are the 2 good items to buy, the rest are best bought on half price day.

Hm.

Is there any restocking guides about anywhere? I ought to do some more reading about it. I've sat at the PC most of today, and I haven't been able to get any medicinal soap or whatever. It's all rubbish in there, at the moment
