Pardon me if this isn't the right place to ask this, but does hearing the result 'You hear maniacal laughter in the distance...' do anything? My active pet had only 2 HP prior to visiting the Shrine, and right after that - on the very next page - his health was full. There weren't any REs or anything, and the only thing I did in between was play Yooyuball. Sorry if this question has been asked before, I just always thought that maniacal laughter was one of those useless results.

I've seen that response before from the shrine but didn't notice my pet's health... I will have to pay attention next time.

I only noticed myself because of the pet module at the side. I guess it has some uses, eh? ;)
