Have a look at the new 404 page you'll find on Neopets:

Gone are the Neopets images, in fact it's with the normal layout! Some of the messages are still the same.

It is, but slightly impersonal. Neopets has been losing the personality lately, and that's one of the biggest things I liked. *tear*. Boy, will I rant about this on the next episode of Neocast.

Saw that 404 yesterday while trying to upload a new guild logo.

The old 404's are still around though, I don't think TNT will ever get rid of them.

I imagine they put it up way back when it actually was obscure. And it would be sill to take it down just because people are inured to it.

It's never been obscure, not aslong as I can remember.

And to be honest it never really bothered me, Just the idea that I'm (apparently) meant to find it funny.
A chuckle once in a while if I've not heard it in a time, maybe, but not anything approaching the references you see if you spend as much time around computers as I do.

And If I see another ORLYOWL I'm going to lose it.

anyway, a lot of the references are still obscure to me, but maybe that's because i don't watch enough movies or something like that. like the "Sarah, go back to your room. Play with your toys. Forget about the 404" one is still lost to me. i remember reading up on what they alluded to before, but i forgot all about it
