Once Per Battle.
It doesn't disappear forever, only for the remainder of a fight.

you have two options.

Number one: Go out and buy one.
Number two: Do Illusen's quests up to level 35. You get it after you complete level 35. This is a very risky path to take tho because people have failed number 35 MANY times. I failed it once myself *sob* .
