Yep, Taz has been added to the list. They're fiesty, but sorta cute. Its sad to see any animal join the list, but this one shocked me alot.

It's because of that crazy cancerous infection.

Sad to say, the only way to save the species will probably be to capture and quarantine as many as possible, then let it die out in the wild, and repopulate it.

Cos all I recall of the book is Michael Chriton shoving his theories about Chaos theory and such onto unsuspecting readers.

Nope, they're still "threatened" in the SW but "recovered" elsewhere in the U.S. Here's the official site explaining everything. In the last 10 years, I've probably seen about a dozen or so in the wild (mostly in Virginia).

I think this was the year that bald eagles came off the list.

Wow I didn't know tasmanian devils actually existed XD. I only know of them from looney toons LOL. That cancer thing sounds horrible though :(

i think every animal deserves a life, regardless of my opinion on whether they look cute or not. Simply because I think one endangered animal is sweeter looking than another endangered animal does not mean I think one species deserves preservation.
I just thought that from the picture they were cute that's all.
