If anyone asked me, I'd say that's messed up. Sure, the internet is big and you can go around anonymously, but people ruining any sort of reputation they have over the internet themselves?
When I did see the title, I was thinking "Holy crap, what the heck!?"

That kinda reminds me of the "Make Love, not Warcraft" episode of Southpark where the guys' characters are constantly killed by a PvP player. They eventually decide to take revenge and train for weeks by killing low-level mobs.

"Man get death penalty for mass murdering a virtual world" lol some ppl ust take things too seriously. My neopet got stolen. I was like meh i will just create a new one no biggy. The same would apply to WoW or any other virtual world. I wouldn't take its eriously I have a life outside my comp too.

It's not about how she killed his avatar, it's about how she got into the account (hacking).

Oh man, if all game hackers could get arrested, the virtual world would be a slightly less paranoid place.

This whole situation just sounds so silly to be true, but there you have it. But I thought in MapleStory if you die you are just set back in experience points? Did she delete his account somehow or something?

I thought the same thing.
That she was facing charges because of killing him.
But, 'tis for hacking. There is no PvP in Maplestory. xD
