Hmmm Im wondering why Im receiving PM Spam here, about domain names... and also one that I consider inappropriate also which was from a mod.

I havent been here for a while, but woke to find about 7 emails directing me to PMs here that were spam about domain names

Hope someone can look into these.
Many thanks.

Well, one of them was from me by mistake.
I have a bad habit. I yell bad things (within PPT rules) at spammers.
BUT. I forgot about the reply all. XD

The domain name one was sent to everybody on the site (all the usergroups were included). I haven't received any others though.
There have beem some other spambots running around, but the admins are getting rid of them pretty quick. :)

Yes, I've gotten two over the past few days (not counting the replying to them *nudgeDMnudge*) The admins are getting rid of them though, so no worries.

Apparently, I don't count as everyone. :(

The forum staff has taken the appropriate actions on this. I apologize for the inconvenience; the spam annoyed me too this morning.

As a bonus heads-up, the latest phpbb update transforms the "Reply" button into a "Reply All" button (which is why there is no dedicated Reply All button anymore); be mindful of what happens when you press it.

The best policy is not to reply to spam threads or PMs; feel free to forward the message/a link to the thread to the appropriate moderators/admins.

That's really, REALLY bad. Is there a hack you can use to change it back?

I can't tell you how many people have gotten in trouble after hitting "Reply All" and not knowing who they were sending a message to.

Its not hard to check and make sure that the 'to' field only has one name or doesn't have a certain name in it...

You know, i agree with TOSO here (Shock horror!) I love that we now have a reply all function, but it would be much better to still have the option of the reply and reply all buttons - or at least make the button say reply all so people know. i didnt realise straight away.

I agree.

Despite it being so "obvious" to some people, I don't see what's the harm in having both "reply" and "reply all" buttons.

I didn't receive the original message, but I did receive the responses. Imagine my surprise when I read DM's response first thing in the morning. :P Well, it's good to know it was taken care of. Good job, Mods.

And I agree that it would be super sweet to have both a reply and a reply all button.
