I made a post on the sets board, and I was wopndering if I could take requests and hold a contest at the same time?

You can take requests and hold a contest as long as you are making the sets in the request and not requesting them. You can only ask for sets and such in one place at a time, but you can make as many as you choose (within reason). :)
