Dubloon Disaster Guide

Here are some easy ways to get a good score on Dubloon Disaster!
1. Set a goal for yourself. Don’t send in your score unless you get over your
goal. My goal is 170 points, because above that and you get 1000nps.
2. After you get at least ½ of the way to your goal, go to an area where there
are no mines (the small black and red things) and type in SCALLYWAGS. It creates
a whirlpool. If you move right after you create the whirlpool, it will close, so
wait for a split second, then move. Be careful or you might get sucked into the
whirl pool!
3. Have a plan of how you are going to get each dubloon coin. Just going for it
often results in your ship blowing up.
4. While the whirl pool is going, get as many dubloons as you can, as the mines
for those will get sucked into the whirl pool.
5. After you get 9 dubloons, mines will stop popping up. Try to get the mines in
a group somewhere, so you can move with less worry of being blown up.
6. The mines will destroy themselves if they bump into each other, to do this
just go straight between two dubloons and they will usually blow up.
7. Click on “graphic options”, and disable all the options. This really does
make your ship go faster!
8. Notice the little red light in the Mine that blinks? If you notice it
blinking faster, stay away from it! It might blow up, and blows up anything near
it. (I generally don’t notice the blinking, and I have only been blown up once.
It may be a rarity.)
9. If the Mines are surrounding the dubloon you need, type in scallywags if you
haven’t already, or if you have then sit in a corner, but be ready to leave when
they come close to you.
10. Scoring is as follows:
A brown Dubloon: 2 points (these are the most common)
A silver dubloon with pirate head: 5 points
A silver dubloon with crossbones: 10 points
A silver dubloon with moon: 20 points
A silver dubloon: 50 points
A gold dubloon with crossbones: 100 points
A silver dubloon with gold edges: 200 points (I have never got one of these)
11. NP ratio: 600nps for every 100pts scored.
12. When you turn, don’t take your finger off the ^ button, as your ship will
stop and you might be blown up.
13. If you don’t get very high scores, don’t worry about it! Its taken me almost
3 years to be able to get over 170 neopoints a game, and I still don’t some
