Lab Map Disappearance Explained
My lab map disintegrated in January 2004. Why do lab maps disappear?
The lab map disappearance is a glitch. It should not disappear as you should be
able to keep these lab maps forever. The only known time completed lab maps have
started to disappear was during the end of 2003 and the beginning of 2004. Since
then, there haven't been many reported cases of this glitch surfacing.
How did this glitch occur?
Apparently every account with lap map access has a flag to their account which
signifies so. Somehow, this flag was switched with the flag for old battledome
abilities.
Why did it take so long to track down?
Because the the labray can only be accessed once a day, tracking down the source
of the glitch is a difficult as people who report the bug must remember every
single activity undertaken on that account..
Should I be worried?
No you shouldn't. Each account now that completes the lab map has an embedded
comment marking that it has gained legitimate lab access. Therefore, if the
glitch does occur to your account, staff members will be able to restore lab
access to your account knowing that you preciously had access. Unfortunately,
people who have completed the lab map before this system was put in place (2004)
will not have a comment placed in their account, so if they do fall victim to
the glitch, there is not much that can be done.
