The Short and Successful Guide to Having a Guild

Everyone wants to be a Neo Dragon Riders, Neo World of Food, etc. Well,
actually, you don't. The bigger guild the less of a chance you'll have to be
able to memorize everyone's username. You'll have to give away WAY more prizes
to keep people joining and from quitting. You might even need to start a website
(register a domain name) just to keep everything straight. So, think about it
and you WANT a guild of about a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 30
people/usernames in your guild. Read on to figure out how to get those 8-30
people to join
Getting it Started
Starting your guild is probably the hardest part. You need to pick a location
that has a good size of people, but not yet crowded. For example, Uni Meadows.
It has room for another 10,000 guilds, and is still catchy and somewhere fun to
visit. Maraqua would be a good choice too. But for an idea of where NOT to go,
I'd say NEVER EVER choose the Stock Exchange.
Now You need to give it a catchy name or theme. For a good theme that everyone
loves is Neopets. Some common themes that people like are everything, or
computer, or music, or acting, or sports. They're all themes that could get
people to join. Now that you've chosen a theme break the theme down and give it
a name. Let's say your theme was Neopets, you broke it down into Poogles. You
could name it The Little Pink Poogle, Poogle Paradise, Pooglemania, or even
Panthing Poogles. Or your theme was Food, you broke it down to pizza. You could
name it Meetza's Pizzas Or Pizzaland USA Or Pepporoni Paradise. Make theme
catchy or something people would look up!
Getting People to Join
You though getting your guild started was hard. Now this is the most difficult
part that never will end until your guild is deleted. Getting people to join.
Nobody joins the guild of one person. Get your friends to refer your username.
Get them to join! From there, people think your guild is more of a hit (and it
starts your 8-30 people).
Give it a Layout!
Almost every site (but mine) has guild layouts. X Neopians, Sunshine Neo, Cloud
Neo, Maraqua.net, EVERYWHERE! Get one. The best kind of guild layout is a
custom. You get EXACTLY what you want. It's perfectly matches your topic! So,
your wondering why I don't make guild layouts ah? MINE WAS CUSTOM TOO! I suggest

Make the Contents Catchy!
Don't think that's all you need. You need to sound smart and like you know what
your doing. Most importantly DoNt TYpe lyke di$!!! You need to sound like...

Don't you want to join??? Now that's what I've meant when I'm saying make it
catchy, fun, and totally interesting. Too bad it's just made up. That's just the
starting to an AMAZING, detailed contents.
Contests!
No guild will get a good amount of members without hooking you on with lots of
free stuff. Give away newbie pack, random packs, drawings! Anything giving away
expensive, rare, and totally unpredictable items. Give them neopoints too!!! Or
you can make up a kind of points to give them items. You know what the gourmet
club is right? Well start a "Flotsam Feast". Every Wednesday Night Flotsams Eat
Free Depending on how many "Feasting Points" They have. Anything getting them to
join (or free food). Get it???
Make Graphics
Wouldn't you love to join a guild that gave you free graphics, and taught you
HTML. Even how to make and code graphics. Now I wish I had a guild like that.
But I'm stuck making the graphics. Well that's what Neopia wants. A person to
make them they're user lookup. Or neomail just to tell you how awesome your
glittery flotsam you made with PSP 9 is. Free stuff does work!
Give 'Em Friends!
When your a newbie you know how it feels. No one to talk to your pets are
playing against Punching Bag Bob in the battle dome and you have 500 neopoints
to feed 4 pets. It's sad. Give them somebody to talk to. Yes, even if they drive
you absolutely crazy. When you have the little badge that says "Newbie" on your
lookup, people would rather have it say "n00b".
Get Going
Now you know what to do, rush to Neopets and get going!!! There's no time to
waste when you can have 10 people in 10 days!
