Trading Post Guide

Introduction
In this guide I want to teach everyone how to do the trades successfully. This is many ways to do the the trades,
I'm just going to teach you some of them and SCAMS that are in the trades! If you have your own way and prefer to use that,
that's fine with me. But my way is usually successful. I do at least one trade every time
I get on (nearly everyday) and I will teach you how to offer on trades and how to get your offer noticed! Now if you would please sit back and let me take you on a tour to
SUCCESS.
Trading Items
There was a good way to trade stuff but Neopets made a NEW rule. Your post has to be on for
at least 15 minutes. I used to be VERY successful but now I have to wait but I'm
still very successful. I used to put my trades in and if no offers in a minute or two, I would pull it out and put it back in, but now I can't because of the new rule. So now we have to
approach it in a different fashion. So you have to have a good Wish list... the
reasoning will be explained in the Wish list section. Pick your items well. Go through your
Safety Deposit Box and pick out some items that you want to get rid of. They should be good items
too, then decide what you want for them. You should do some searching and see what your items are worth. Then decide
whether you want neopoints or items in return. If you want neopoints, check and see what your items are worth and post that you want
x amount of neopoints. If you want item(s) then find an item you want. Make sure it is worth what your items are worth and post that as your
wish list. Now that you've got a basic idea let me teach you how to make a good
wish list.
Wish List
In this section I will be teaching you how to make a wish list that will get noticed and make people want to make an offer. First you should know what you
I explained above. Then think how you should word your wish list to make the
trade sound catching You can use signs to get it more noticeable like :(~*<>&%$#@) all those will
work. I like to use * and ~ To surround my text. It makes it more noticeable than regular
text (but don't go overboard). Say it like you mean it. Not like, "Oh just
offer." You always want to have a wish list or else you will have a bunch of offers that aren't worth looking
at. You may also want to put 'neomail me' to haggle. Now this was a short one but now
I'm going to tell you about Offering.
Offering
You want to know your items. You want to know what you're bidding on. Always look clearly at a trade I have a baby plushie
paintbrush which is worth about 30k. Someone offered a item worth 250k and then neomailed me and said they misread it! Please
always read the trade clearly. You don't want to bug the person if they say not to. It will just irritate them! You want to get close to
their wish list and don't offer offers that aren't worth their time. You need to know your items, or have another page open ready to search it...You may want to neomail them to ask them if they
will except something but if they say 'Not For Trade (NFT)' or 'Not For Sale (NFS)',
don't bother offering or neomailing to haggle... it just makes them not want to sell it even
more! You may want to try and offer a little under their asking price if it says willing to
haggle or go through your SDB and find some items that you don't want anymore and check there prices and offer them. Also *PLEASE KNOW THE ITEM YOU ARE OFFERING.
MANY PEOPLE MAKE THE MISTAKE OF MISREADING!!* I hope this helped you in becoming better with offering!
Trading SCAMS
There are many trading SCAMS you do not want to be fooled. You will be frozen, I made an account to test these SCAMS and they do not work. I was reported. In this section
I'm going to tell you the scams, If you know of any that I don't have on here please tell me!
*TYPE THIS MESSAGE INTO 10 OF YOUR TRADES, THEN GO TO THE LOST DESERT PAINTBRUSH STALL, YOU WILL FIND 1000000 NP AND A RANDOM PAINTBRUSH, IT HAS WORKED FOR EVERYONE SO
FAR.* This is one of the most popular ones. This is the one that I tested and many people have gotten
frozen because of it. Please do not do this you will get FROZEN. I've seen people with good items doing it, I
feel bad when I report them but if you read this page you would know NOT to do these chain letters!
*I got an x-box and I wont be playing Neopets anymore. My account goes to the highest bidder.
This account has 809,843 NP in it and a few rare items in the SDB.* I'm going to
say this is a SCAM because I see people do it all the time but they are still on
Neopets a month later! So don't believe it!
