Why PPT?
Well, basically, many emails have I received with the question, "Why PPT? Why not Neopets Hints and Tips or Neopets Bonanza?" that my inbox basically got clogged up with them and I had to explain them over and over again. Well, because of this, I thought, why not? I mean, its got an interesting story to it so I might as well tell it :)
It all started on a sunny summer afternoon, you know, the ones where the suns out shining, you've been outside playing all day and you're tired so you come in for a nice ice cold drink of fruit juice and sit down at the computer and log onto the internet to chat and check out emails.
Well anyways, me and Alexis were talking to one another, and suddenly, well, the dialog goes something like this:
"Hey? Wanna start a neopets site?" Alexis suddenly asked.
Remmy wasn't really interested, he was just sitting down on the computer lazing about after playing soccer with his dog outside.
"Heeeeeyyyy! Want to start one?" Alexis asked again.
"Huh? Start what?" Remmy replied out of curiosity.
"A neopets site."
"Already done dumass." Remmy replied.
"No, I mean a neopet hints and tips one."
Well, after much thought and bantering which I shall not add here, Remmy and Alicia thought, ahhhhh what the hiiieel, let's start one!
We mucked around a lot, basically did nothing and the site started out as a set of Poogle Solitaire answers. Then finally, after a few days, something hit us.
"Oh my gosh Alexis, the site hasn't got a name!" Remmy exclaimed.
"Hmm, you are absolutely right," agreed Alexis, what shall we call it?
"Hmm, how about Neopet Island?" Remmy suggested.
"Nahh! Sounds to... ilandish.." Alexis replied thoughtfully.
Well anyway, this conversation went on for about 30 minutes and to our despair, and to no avail, was a name produced.
"You know Alexis, we really need a name, look, I'm on a shop in neopets, I'll just close my eyes and point on the screen and whatever it lands on, we'll call the site that until we can think of a better name."
Well, we both agreed so I looked at the shop, it had a million items (I forgot whose shop it was) and I closed my eyes. I pointed, opened my eyes and you guessed it, it was a Pink Poogle Toy!!!
Yup, I know what you're thinking. Am I crazy? maybe, but it was kinda fun picking a name. If I landed on Blue Koi Key Chain, I would've used the name (maybe not, but it has a nice ring to it) ;)
A few months down the track, the name Pink Poogle Toy I guess has stuck. I think its because me and Alexis likes it so much now. *shrug* Oh well, now onto the adventures of
