How to Make a Pair of Clay Asparachucks
Written by diva_brat
What you need
- Polymer Clay, I use sculpy!
- A butter knife or clay tool to cut the clay with.
- A newspaper covered with wax paper to work on.
- Clear nail polish. You can use this or not, but it makes them UBER SHINEY!
- 14 links of chain to join the Asparachucks together. I prefer silver but I only had bronze, use whatever color you want. The best place to get the chain is a prize machine necklace.

Step 1
Take your green clay, you may have to mix your clay to make it the right color, and divide it like shown. A big roll (1A), cut in half (1B), those cut into 2/3 and 1/3 pieces (1C), then roll them into balls. Combine the 2 smaller balls into one (1D). This smaller ball will be for your asparagus tips, the other two will be for the actual asparagus stems.

Step 2
Now take one of the bigger balls of clay and roll it into a long noodle like roll (2A). Ct this roll into half. This will be your 2 Asparagus stems. Ive never used the other ball, but its there in case you want to make really big chucks, in which case you need a really big chain, bigger than that from a necklace. So for now just put the other ball of clay away. Using your fingers form the two asparagus stems to look like the ones in 2B. Now taking the small ball of clay roll out a long thin noodle of clay like the one in 2B, then cut these into small little pieces, and then roll them into mini balls like in 2C. Begin to put these on the top of the asparagus stalks, placing them all around and upwards. Make one pointed slightly for the very top of the asparagus. Once youre done with this it should look like 2D. Make another one just like the first and go on to step 3.

Step 3
Now take your chain (3A) and put it in the bottom of one of your Asparachuck pieces (3B) and then reform the bottom around it with your fingers. Take the other
Asparachuck and do the same thing to it as you did the first one. It should look like 3C.

Step 4
Now follow the baking instructions for your clay (4A). Once youve baked them let them cool for 5 minutes. Now you can either leave them as they are (4B), or you can paint them with the clear nail polish and make the uber shiny (4C)!!!
Congrats! You now have a super cool pair of Asparachucks!
