Pink Poogle Toy is Back

Back online as a tribute to a joyful corner of the early Internet

After many years tucked away in old files and forgotten folders, Pink Poogle Toy has found its way back online. I founded Pink Poogle Toy back in the early Neopets days, and bringing it back on March 13, 2026 feels like reopening a tiny portal to a wonderfully nostalgic chapter of Internet life — one filled with guides, creativity, community, and the particular kind of joy only Neopets fans will truly understand.

This version of Pink Poogle Toy is here as an homage to that era and to the many people who made it special. If you’ve stumbled across it again, I hope it gives you a little feel-good dopamine hit and reminds you of a softer, brighter corner of the web. And if you’d ever like to contribute content and help keep the memory alive, feel free to email kym@pinkpoogletoy.com — I’d love to add to it over time.

Keeping Neopets Knowledge Alive

A Neopets wiki built in the spirit of Wikipedia, and open once again to the community

The NeoDex is back online at https://pinkpoogletoy.com/neodex — a Neopets wiki created in the spirit of Wikipedia, designed to hold anything and everything related to Neopets. Lore, characters, places, items, history, odd little details… it was built as a place for the community to gather and organize knowledge, and it is now online again and open for the public to edit.

Over the years, I have come to believe more and more strongly that no one of us is as smart as all of us. The NeoDex feels like a perfect expression of that idea: a living resource built not by one person, but by many people contributing what they know, what they remember, and what they care enough to preserve.

I have also found myself reading articles about the Neopets revival following its 2023 acquisition, and it has been fascinating to see how much energy still surrounds Neopets. The more I read, the more it all begins to click into place. One of Neopets’ great strengths seems to be the fan community that simply refuses to let it quietly drift off into the sunset.

Established accounts. Long-held online identities. Lore remembered, documented, and protected by fan sites and communities. Neopets continues to live on — and honestly, now it all makes a little more sense. The NeoDex is one more small part of that story, and I’m very glad to see it back online again.

A Little Time Capsule Called The Pink Poogle Toy Forums

A living little archive of the Neopets fans who built a community around virtual pets

It has been amazing to look back at the Pink Poogle Toy forums with fresh eyes and really take in the community that grew there. Created by and run by Neopets fans from all over the world, the forums became so much more than just a place to post. With threads dating all the way back to the beginning, they now feel like their own little history archive — a record of countless hours spent by a group of people who came together around the joyful idea of virtual pets.

I made a new post there this weekend and had to laugh when I came across my old avatar and signature banner, both made by a member of the Pink Poogle Toy community. Sheesh… the hours that went into making the perfect avatar and signature banner. The inside jokes. The PPTbies. The annual member collages. What a spin it is to revisit all of that now.

The forums are still online at https://pinkpoogletoy.com/forum — so if you were one of the original members, or even if you’re completely new, feel free to stop by and say hello. Leave a post or two. Maybe even upload a new avatar or signature banner for old time’s sake.

Four Thousand Pages Later… A Very 90s Website, Now With Better Grammar

Reviving the best of the 90s, with slightly fewer grammatical crimes

I’ve now reviewed and cleaned up just over 4,000 content pages across Pink Poogle Toy, and let me tell you — there is a very particular kind of experience that comes from reading things you edited or wrote many, many years ago and being confronted with spelling and grammar errors so obvious that all you can think is: did I really edit or write that? I had many of those moments.

A big part of me considered leaving everything exactly as it was for archival purposes. There is something charming about preserving a site in its original form, mistakes and all. But the spelling-and-grammar aficionado in me simply could not resist the urge to fix it all… and so I did. All content pages have now been reviewed for spelling and grammar and are now live in their cleaned-up form.

So now we have a very 90s website, complete with broken features, odd links, and delightful little internet relics… but with excellent spelling and grammar. Let’s call it reviving the best of the 90s while modernizing it just a tiny bit at the same time. Best of both worlds, really.

Honestly, who knew this would be so much fun?

As for what I’ll fix next… who knows. But if you have ideas, suggestions, or things you’d love to see restored, please email me at kym@pinkpoogletoy.com.

Pink Poogle Toy Oekaki Is Back Online Too

A little corner of Pink Poogle Toy that celebrated art, creativity, and some wildly talented people

I’ve also brought the Pink Poogle Toy Oekaki back online at https://pinkpoogletoy.com/oekaki/, and seeing it live again feels especially nostalgic. I don’t remember every detail of how it first came to be, but from memory, it began because a PPTer was deeply passionate about art, and through many late-night conversations we found a way to weave more creativity and self-expression into the world of Pink Poogle Toy.

What I do remember clearly is that Pink Poogle Toy became home to a great many artists. The Oekaki was one of those magical little spaces on the Internet where people made things simply because they loved to create, and some of the work that appeared there absolutely blew me away. I’m pretty sure I still have an archive of favorite Oekaki pieces I saved over the years because I couldn’t bear to lose them.

So I wanted to bring this part of Pink Poogle Toy back too — not because it’s perfect, and not because I know exactly what it will become, but because it was a real and beautiful part of the site’s history. And who knows… maybe the Pink Poogle Toy Oekaki still has another golden moment in it yet.

Rainbow Poogle Is Back Online Too

A very bug-ridden little relic from an earlier era of Pink Poogle Toy

I’ve also uploaded an old version of Pink Poogle Toy called Rainbow Poogle over at https://pinkpoogletoy.com/rainbow-poogle. It is gloriously imperfect, quite broken in places, and very much a relic of an earlier Internet era — which is, honestly, part of its charm.

Like a lot of old sites brought back from deep archive, it comes with bugs, missing bits, odd formatting, and all the beautiful chaos you might expect from something built in a completely different chapter of web history. But I still wanted to put it online, because it captures a real piece of Pink Poogle Toy’s evolution, and I think there is something special about preserving these older versions exactly because they are unfinished, messy, and human.

If you take a look around and spot broken links, strange behavior, or bits that clearly need attention, feel free to email me at kym@pinkpoogletoy.com. And if Rainbow Poogle happens to stir up a memory for you, then it has already done exactly what I hoped it would do.

The Kind of Internet We Don’t Make Anymore

A small tribute to the era of fansites, forums, guides, and joyful little corners of the web

There was something special about the Internet of that era. It was handmade, a little messy, deeply personal, and full of people building things simply because they loved them. Fansites like Pink Poogle Toy were part of that world — little corners of the web made with care, curiosity, creativity, and a genuine desire to help other people have more fun.

Bringing Pink Poogle Toy back online is, in many ways, my way of honoring that kind of internet. The kind where you discovered sites by wandering, found communities that felt oddly magical, and spent hours reading guides, clicking links, and getting completely absorbed in a world that felt joyful and alive. I know the Internet has changed, but I still think there is something worth preserving from that time — and I hope bringing Pink Poogle Toy back can be a small part of that.

Restoring Pink Poogle Toy, One Page at a Time

Slowly restoring a joyful little corner of Neopets history

I’ll be working slowly but steadily to locate and restore older versions of Pink Poogle Toy over time.

Starting Pink Poogle Toy all those years ago was a true project of joy for me, and bringing it back online has reminded me just how special that little corner of the Internet was. My hope is to gradually recreate a piece of that magic for anyone who still loves Neopets, still plays Neopets, or simply wants to take a trip down memory lane after somehow stumbling across Pink Poogle Toy again.

There will absolutely be broken links, missing pages, and bits that don’t work yet. If you spot something, please email me at kym@pinkpoogletoy.com and let me know — we’ll work through it together. Aand if you happen to have an old version of Pink Poogle Toy tucked away somewhere in your files, please do get in touch too. I’d love to help preserve as much of its history as possible.
