"Yes!" Akasha499 declared. "I have all the PetPet Laboratory Map Pieces now!" she looked at the full map with pride then looked at her owner. "Can I go with Maggie to the Lab Ray?" she looked at her owner with big balling eyes. "Oh all right." the owner said" You can go only if you be careful." Akasha499 looked at her owner and replied." Of course I'll be careful. I'll protect Maggie from everything. "The owner looked at her with a tear in her eye and hugged her little Aisha. "but there's one thing that's very bad the ray can do. "The owner said very seriously. The little Aisha looked at her and asked. "Like what?" "Well she could get zapped by the ray and turn into...... "What turn into what?" the little interrupted. The owner gave her a quick glance and continued. "Well she could turn into....soot." Akasha499 looked at her for a while and looked down at her petpet. "I love my petpet a lot though, I hope it doesn't happen." Her petpet looked up at her and cooed gently. "Well if anything does happen like that, then you have to go to the Soot Hole." Akasha499 looked at her owner and then at her petpet. "I'll be fine, I know where it is." Maggie jumped off Akasha499's lap and bounced away. "Now be back before sunset." the owner said gently. "Oh and before you leave get clothes on." Akasha grinned and walked away to her room. "I hope little Maggie doesn't turn into soot or it will break Akasha's heart." The owner walked away to make a little picnic for them. Joint of Ham and a Bottle of Kau milk, Akasha's and Maggie's favorite food.

Akasha499 came running down the stairs and nearly toppled over Maggie." Woh!'" she cried. "Maggie be more careful next time you might get hurt." her owner looked in the room and replied. "No. Akasha you be more careful next time, you know Maggie loves the stairs." Akasha499 looked at her owner feeling ashamed of what she said. "Well its time to go." Akasha said cheerfully quickly getting over what just happened. Akasha kissed her owner goodbye saying. I will miss you mommy." Her owner looked at her with a quizzical look and Akasha continued. "Well I have never gone anywhere without you or Greenarlena. It's hard to do something by myself." The owner looked at her and gave her another big hug. "I will see you at Dinner tonight." Akasha let go and nodded. They waved goodbye and started on there way to the lab. Halfway there they both stopped to eat lunch. "Oh Maggie!" Akasha declared. "Im wiped out." The little petpet looked at her and started to eat her piece of ham. They finished and then started on there way once more. Akasha499 took out the map and followed the directions. Once they both got there Akasha499 cried out in delight. "Wow look at that Maggie! Let's go in and get started immediately." They both started to run forward towards the door,Akasha499 took hold of the handle and pulled. They looked in and Maggie let out a chirp, when Akasha finally saw inside she gazed at the ray. It was bigger than Maggie four-hundred times over.Akasha499 walked in after Maggie and picked the little petpet up. "Okay Maggie you go right here."Akasha499 took the petpet up and set her on the x mark. She then started to look around for the switch, which she finally found near the x mark. Akasha499 put on some goggles and pulled the switch. A bright light filled the room causing Akasha499 to close her eyes. When she opened them she looked over at Maggie and screamed. "My petpet she, she she's a Pile of Soot!" Akasha started to cry. "I didn't even get to say bye." Right when she said that Maggie chirped. Akasha499 looked up. "What made her chirp? Shes a pile of soot." Then she remembered what her owner taught her. 'Even if a petpet turns into something different, it will always be the same inside.' Akasha499 smiled to herself and picked up Maggie. "You will be much happier with your own kind, so you are going to the soot hole. "Maggie looked up at her and chirped." Don't worry there's pets there just like you, so don't get frantic." Akasha499 walked out of the Lab with Maggie. Walking towards the soot hole made Akasha499 feel sadder and sadder. When she finally got there she was about to break into tears. "Okay lets go put you in there now." The two friends went over to the hole and Akasha499 bent down, she put Maggie in the hole and started to cry. "I'll visit everyday."Akasha499 replied sobbing terribly at that point.Akasha499 went down and kissed her petpet. Waving goodbye she went on towards home. When she got there she just couldn't help but to cry. "Oh no Akasha what happened?" the owner suddenly realized what just happened and went over and hugged her pet. "Don't worry, I was just on the phone with my friend. He said that you can get Maggie back."Akasha499 looked at her owner and asked through a red face. "How did you know my petpet turned into soot?" The owner looked at her and replied. "I didn't."Akasha499 looked at her confused. "I called him and told you found the whole thing. Then he told me what to do in case she turned to soot." Akasha499's face brightened and hugged her mother saying "thank you so much!" Her owner looked at her and said "Why thank me? My friend told me." The two looked at each other and smiled. They then went into the kitchen. "What do you want Akasha? The owner said. "Oh I don't know? Akasha said mischievously. "Can we maybe go to Kelp?" The owner looked down her and with a smile replied. "Yes, we can go only if we can get a reservation. "They both started to laugh and then walked to call the restaurant.
