Scams. One of the most frequent things that happen to users. Most people ask the question: Why me? This has happened to me also just a few days ago.

Tips usually help you about 90% of the times your in trouble. For example, change your password once everyday, Use PIN codes frequently, and such. The strange thing is that I've been doing re-search and some viruses can affect you losing accounts.

For example, I have an account with lots of neopoints in it, but I have a virus. The more the virus gets worse, the more it can grab the cookies and your computer does strange things. These cookies get messed up, and one day a person suddenly gets your password, and they hack into it. If you have no virus and you got hacked, then here is another way.

There is this very complicated coding that people use to grab passwords. I heard that you can pay HTML geniuses to do these. What they do is put the coding in lets say your user lookup or a guild. When a person visits the place, the other person's cookies go into your computer and grabs all of your information, then gets sent back into the other user�s computer. They open the file and then read everything, and voila. Your going to get hacked immediately. Here are some frequently asked questions that I�ve seen that people extremely need to be answered. HERE ARE THE TOP 18 QUESTIONS:

1. How long will it take to get my account back?

For me, it takes a couple of days or so. I heard it can even take weeks or years to get them answered. It depends on how many users sent in e-mails. There are a lot of users on Neopets so please just try to be patient and the Neopets team will reply to your e-mail.

2. My guild! How will I get all my members back while I am frozen?

I�ve heard recently that after 2 weeks you�ve been frozen, the co-owner of your guild will be the new owner. So once you created/got your account, just rejoin the guild and tell them everything you�ve been through so far.

3. How will I get my neopoints back?

Once you are frozen, you won�t get them back unless you start over again. But here are some tips:

- If someone is WILLING to tip for layouts, etc. then you can neomail them. Just don�t post a topic saying �Z0MG! IM CHARGING 100,000 NPS FOR A GUILD LAYOUT! CLICK HERE IF YOU WANT ONE! � They�ll report you for SURE , and you�ll once again be iced.

- UPDATE: I�ve currently heard that if you go to the advent calendar and you refresh a lot, you can earn LOTS of stuff such as paint brushes, neggs, and more. Some users say it is a glitch made from the neopet team.

- Or perhaps play some games.

4. When someone scammed me, they took away one of my valuable items! What should I do?

Even though it says lots items cannot be returned, usually when you are new to Neopets, they will give you a couple of items. This once happened to me.

I was giving away a dark nova for collateral, and then one day someone didn�t give me back my dark nova, so I reported the,. And they got frozen. But I didn�t get my dark nova back, so I repliedto them again, and about a few days later, I looked in my inventory, and I found:

A Blue paint brush. Fire muffin, and some other things I was pretty surprised, but it was true. So don�t quit, keep on trying.

5. Quick! Someone�s in my account, what should I do?

Right away, change your password, then check your e-mail. If it is changed, then change the e-mail to your old one quick before the other user re-sends the password to his/her e-mail and re-hacks your account.

6. What's the difference of being �scammed� and being �hacked�?

Being scammed is when you sell something or buy something, and the other user does something to get it free or at a higher/lower price. This usually has to do with selling/buying items.

Being hacked is when somehow a user gets your password and steals your neopoints, items, pets, etc.

7. What's the difference between a �n00b� and a �Newbie�?

A n00b Is a hateful person and that people hate. A newbie is often described as being �New� to the site. So Basically, a n00b is bad, and a newbie is good. :-)

8. I see people posting sites that give away free stuff. Is this possible?

Nooooo�.. Sometimes they say they have a �program� but really they try to grab your account from you to steal all of your stuff. And also, don�t copy those chain letters that say �Post this in 10 different boards and you will get 100 different paintbrushes. This is approved by the Neopets team� Those are all STINKIN� LIES!! Why in the world would tnt approve giving a person 100 different paint brushes if you aren�t allowed to earn more than 200,000 nps in a day?! Think about it.

9. Is it possible to be hacked by neomailing someone?

I hate to tell this to you all, but a few months ago, TNT found out about this problem, and lots of people were being hacked. Why hasn�t anyone ever knew this? Because TNT never told anyone.
Again, they use a harsh code to hack into your account. They didn�t want to tell because users would have been scared, and they would if never neomailed each other for a long time.

10. Someone on Neopets is bothering me. What should I do?

Just block them by going to neomail, and block list. That�s all :)

11. What are some sites that can harm my computer?

There are lots of site that can harm your computer, usually they involved virus pictures. I�ve been doing research, and the number one site that can virus your computer is:

Runescape. Why? Because Runescape is NOT a 24/7 monitored site. All they do is if someone is bothering a user, they just report them. That�s all. Sorry to be mean to all Runescape users, but I am trying to tell the truth. I�ve had experience with computer technology for over 5 yrs of my life, so I should be able to know.

Once my friend was on Runescape, he was walking around, and all of a sudden he saw an unknown object. He went up to it, picked it up, then suddenly his computer shut down! So he had to spend another 1,000 buck on a laptop.

12. What�s better: a laptop, or a computer? 

A laptop is MUCH weaker than a computers. Why? Because laptops for some reason get viruses very easily. They are like people. A laptop�s immune system is weak, unlike a regular computer is very strong.

13. How can I be safe in the trades section of Neopets?

BEWARE! Trades section is one of the most dangerous section of Neopets. Why? I am about to tell you.

One time I was looking through the trades, and I saw a card that could give you an avatar, so I clicked it, and I was about to make an offer. But right when I clicked it, a new picture came up on the screen and it was a toy sailboat! So right away I withdrew my trade and I saved my neopoints. Tip #1: ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK WHAT YOU ARE TRADING!!! NEVER look at it once and offer a trade. What people do sometimes is that lets say I want to buy a baby paint brush. So I look, then I see one. I click it right away and make an offer. Then suddenly I notice it was a baby paint brush PLUSHIE ! Ad the person accepts the offer� uh oh. I offered 600k for a plushie! :( So watch out! DO NOT BE TRICKED!!!!

14. What's the point of having pin codes?

PIN codes are VERY important! If you are being hacked, and you don�t have a pin code, then you�ll lose all of your stuff! But if you DO have a pin code, then the hacker will not be able to sell your stuff unless the hacker know it. So make up four hard numbers, and please don�t let It be 1234, cause all I have to say about that is ����Hah o.O�

15. What are the chances that my account will be frozen?

Usually, The Neopets team is not harsh to new people ( under a month or 2 beyond ) So they just give them maybe 5 warnings. But usually to people over a year, they give them maybe 1 warning and then they get frozen because 1 yrs should about time know a lot bout Neopets.

16. Where can I get safe graphix?

There are a lot of places to get graphix for Neopets. Such as jadedneo, etc. I just created one, it is twinkle-shine.tk , but its new. Or just type in �Neopet Graphix� and lots of sites will popup.

17. I want to feed my pets at the soup kitchen, but I have too many neopoints! What should I do?

Here�s one trick: Go to the trades, and find a very expensive thing that you may not afford, such as a Faerie Queen Doll, or a baby Paint Brush ( While searching, click on �Browse old lots� so the user won�t respond right away and you can take your time ). Offer your neopoints in there, and then go to the soup kitchen, and feed your pets. When you are done, just withdraw your offer, and there you are :)

18. One person said that if I buy something from their shop, I will get a prize. Is it true?

No way. They are just asking you to buy something from their shop so they get more neopoints and you get NOTHING. Sometimes you even have to be careful in shops! Always find stuff at the shop wizard because if you enter someone's shop from their lookup, they might have an item with a cookie grabber link that can steal your information and you can be as well, hacked.
