Whack-A-Kass Guide

Whack-A-Kass is perhaps one of the easiest games to learn how to play, once you know how it works. This is because it is a projectile calculation, based mostly on simple physics. But you don't want to know how the game works now, do you? Well maybe you do. If you don't just skip over the sciencey parts. Anyway, you want to learn how to make NP. So for now, we will focus on how to max out your neopoints from this game.

Whack-A-Kass has a maximum value of 1,000, that is, no matter how good your score, the highest amount of NP you will ever earn in one go is 1,000 NP, or up to 3,000 NP per day. While it is possible to get a larger score with practice, right now we will focus on hitting this 1,000 NP benchmark. First off, you need a bat. And to get a bat, you first need to beat the Bread, then Stick levels. A new player to this game will attempt to get these, and will usually find they can't. This is most often because the wind speed is wrong. I can not stress this enough, your wind speed must ALWAYS be 9. ALWAYS. 8 might cut it, but you are potentially giving up over 100 feet. So you want 9. When you start the game, look at the wind speed. If it is 5 or 7, you have a good chance at getting a 9 eventually. If it is 8, it must fall to 7 or 6 first. If it falls to 7, then keep at it. If it falls to 6, restart the game by hitting the space bar. If the game starts on 6 or 4, or falls below 3, restart the game by hitting space. It's faster to start a new game then wait for ti to go up to 9.

Next we will focus on the angle. With a wind speed of 0, the optimum angle of attack is 45%, or roughly a straight diagonal line from your Blumaroo's eyes. With a higher wind speed though, you should aim for an approximate angle of 50%, or about the same height as your Blumaroo's ears.

Finally, we need to focus on keeping your Kass in the air. When you launch your Kass, you need to continue hold down the launch button, either the space of left mouse button, until just after the vertex, or maximum height. This will stop your Kass from flapping it's wings, reducing drag, or in short, make your Kass fly higher and farther. After you reach a maximum peak though, you want to let off on this button, making your Kass flap it's wings, making it keep the height it already gained. Finally, after it touches down, hit the launch button once more for a brief second, let off, and hit it again when it bounces another time. If you time it right, your Kass should bounce 4-5 times, instead of the usual 2-3, adding more distance.
